WHAT IS MICRO LASER PEEL?
MicroLaserPeel by Sciton can turn back time like no other non-surgical technology with a dramatic reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. MICRO LASER PEEL (SCITON)
MicroLaserPeel can be combined with other aesthetic laser treatments for a significant improvement in skin tone, texture, and the appearance of wrinkles. This polishing treatment also evens skin tone, smooths skin texture, and restores a healthy, youthful glow to the skin.
There is very little downtime, and most patients return to work after 3-4 days.
Some patients notice continual improvement for up to six months after their first MicroLaserPeel, especially when combined with deeper treatments. You may repeat your MicroLaserPeel as often as every 6 to 8 weeks.
Avoid sun exposure (including tanning beds) for at least 14 days prior to treatment. Avoid sunless tanning creams or sprays on the treated area for 14 days prior. Please discontinue any products containing active ingredients 7 days prior to treatment, such as: Retinol (Retin-A, Tretinoin, Vitamin A), Glycolic Acid, Salicylic Acid, AHAs (Alpha-hydroxy acids), LHAs (Lipo hydroxy acids) and Benzoyl Peroxide. Avoid hydroquinone for 3 days before your treatment. Do not wax or use depilatory creams on the treatment areas for 14 days prior to treatment.
The Difference Between MicroLaserPeel and NanoLaserPeel by Sciton
The MicroLaserPeel is a deeper resurfacing treatment than the NanoLaserPeel, removing 10-50 microns of skin to address moderate concerns like wrinkles, scars, and sun damage. This results in more noticeable improvements but requires 3-4 days of downtime for recovery. In contrast, the Nano Laser Peel is superficial, ablating only 5-10 microns for light rejuvenation, even tone, and texture with minimal downtime (1-2 days), making it ideal for a “weekend peel.” Both use Sciton technology, but Micro is for more aggressive correction, while Nano is gentler for maintenance.
